Active Release Technique
What is Active Release Technique?

Active Release Technique (ART) is the application of advanced soft tissue protocols that treat overuse, trauma, and nerve entrapment injuries. Muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves are manipulated to increase smooth movement and restore muscle function and mobility.

ART includes the use of active movement by the therapist and patient while applying precise and targeted pressure to the muscle. Dense bands of tissue are isolated and striped of adhesions that cause restriction and pain. Once the area is freed up, blood flow is restored and healing can occur.
